Dec. 12th.

I have spent the last week studying for my math final, writing the last papers for english and communications. It's starting to wear on me but I am almost done. I hate the end of the semester, it seems like just when you are getting to know everyone in your classes, it is time to see them go. I had a class full of teenagers (16-17 years old) they are all part of the ACE program, it was cool having them in my class, I felt like their mommy at times. I am really going to miss them and I am really impressed by all that they have acheived so far in their youg lives. It makes me want to push harder. Now I cross my fingers for my math final!

December 8th.

Oh My! Finals coming up next week! I never in a million years thought I would be saying those words, strangely enough I am excited and happy that I am going through all of this. I think it is perfect timing too. If I would have had to do this when I was younger I would not appreciate school as much. Right now I know how hard teachers work and how they love doing what they do, therefore they have my full attention when they speak. Give them a big thank you at the end of the semester I'm sure they don't hea it enough! Thank you Lord for all of the people who have cared enough to help me through this journey!

First day of Nana Fidelia's traditional 9 day rosary

Nana Fidelia C. Ayala, She passed away in May of this year but she lives in our hearts,  aunt pili had to continue her tradition, it starts on Dec. 3rd. and ends on Dec. 12th., on this day mexico celebrates el dia de La Virgen De Guadalupe in which they honor the virgin mary. We were never allowed to decorate for Christmas until this day passed. We can feel her loss in many ways, I find myself asking why I didnt write down her recipes or write down every story she ever told me. It's funny how I lived with her every day of my life and I didn't take the time, I guess I thought she would be here longer. We will never forget everything she taught us, I just wish I could hear that loud and unique voice of hers telling us what to do.

December 3rd.

Here we are in December of 2010. I can hardly believe it is time to prepare for finals in between work, kids, housework and trying to maintain my fresh look lol. Some of you may know that last year I stumbled my way back to school somehow, maybe it was the slow economy, maybe it was my inner self crying out for more, I don't know but I did, I ended up signing up at gateway community college and I have to say I am truly enjoying every minute of it, crazy huh! For anyone who knows me well ,I have been happy doing hair and nails for the past fifteen years, it has been a blast but it is time for me to move forward into a new adventure. I have been fortunate to have people cross my path in life, that have helped me on this new journey. I have to say thank you to the staff at gateway, they are great!
